Book Review: Haunting Adeline by H.D Carlton

This Book had me hooked from the shadows- equal parts thriller, dark romance and gothic mystery. From the very first page, I found myself anxiously wondering: How far would Zade go? Spoiler: very far. And he never bluffs.

The haunted atmosphere of Adeline's inherited home gave me all the spooky, candlelit chills. There's something deliciously eerie about a storyline where the ghosts of the past literally linger- and uncovering the truth behind her grandmother's death added a haunting layer of mystery to the central dark romance.

Zade and Adeline's twisted connection was intense, unnerving, and addictively romantic in the most morally gray way. The dual tension of being stalked yet somehow seen, protected yet possessed, gave this book an edge that kept me reading long into the witching hours.

Favorite quote:

"When you make someone fall in love with the darkest parts of you, there's nothing you can do that will scare them away. They will be yours forever because they already love all the fucked up bits and pieces of you." - Zade Meadows

If you're into books that blend possession with passion, ghosts with obsession, and a heroine who doesn't scare easy- you'll want to light a candle, pour a cup of something dark, and dive in.
